Eduardo “Eddie” Rodriguez, Sr., 71 of Port Lavaca passed away, September 29, 2010. He was born November 22, 1938 in Westhoff, Texas to the late Lorenzo and Juanita Garza Rodriguez. Eddie worked for Rexco Construction for 43 years. He was a Catholic.
He is survived by his children, Marina Crabtree of Port Lavaca, Gino Rodriguez of Houston, Eddie Rodriguez, Jr. of Port Lavaca and Guy Rodriguez of Port Lavaca; brothers, Frank Rodriguez of Port Lavaca and Trino Rodriguez of Freeport; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents Eddie was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Rodriguez, sister, Andrea Herrera and brothers, Cheno Rodriguez and Mike Rodriguez.
A Rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Our Lady of The Gulf Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gino Rodriguez, Eddie Rodriguez, Jr., Guy Rodriguez, Gino Rodriguez, II, Nico Evan Rodriguez, Gavin Ace Rodriguez, Blayne Guy Rodriguez.
