

Elizabeth Rae Gregory, 74 of Port Lavaca passed away October 10, 2013. She was born August 29, 1939 in San Antonio to the late Jube and Kathryn Reding. She graduated from Edison High School in 1957. She met Ronnie at Southwest Texas State University where she graduated from. They were married in 1960 in San Antonio. In 1961 they moved to Port Lavaca. Elizabeth was a retired school teacher having taught first grade for 32 years at Harrison Elementary for the CCISD. Elizabeth had many hobbies. She loved to travel and was very creative. She made art projects, Christmas ornaments and crafts with her 3 grandsons and her many first grade students. Over the years she painted, made ceramics, purses, cross-stitched, sewed pins and created many beautiful pieces. Family and friends always commented to her that many of the ornaments she made hang on their tree every Christmas.
She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Gregory of Port Lavaca; son, Ryan Gregory and wife Tammy of Victoria; grandsons, Russell Preston Gregory, Garrett William Gregory and Peyton Kyle Gregory all of Victoria; sisters, Carol Ann Smith of Ventura, CA, Andrea Marsh of San Antonio, and cousin, Jackie Russell of Marion, Texas. Elizabeth is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many other family members and friends that were very dear to her.
A time of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
