Dooney’s life carried both struggle and sorrow, and there were years marked by distance and uncertainty.  Yet through every chapter, he was never beyond the reach of God’s love and mercy.  Even in wandering, he remained known and seen by the One who created him.
Today, we entrust him to that mercy.  We release him into the hands of Christ – where burdens are lifted, brokenness is healed, and weary souls find rest.
We hold fast to the promise of eternal life and the assurance that God’s grace is greater than any hardship.
May he now rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon him. And may we who remain be comforted by the assurance that God’s mercy is greater than any struggle, and His love stronger than any death.

To Dooney,
To the world, you were Dooney – but to me, you were my big brother.  My protector, my first friend, and the one who always made sure I was okay.  As your baby sister, I always felt your love watching over me, even when you didn’t say much.  You taught me strength, loyalty, and what it means to stand tall.  My heart is broken, but my love for you is forever.  I will carry you with me in everything I do – until we meet again.

Dooney,
For all the communications we had, for the visits we have while you were away, it gave me great joy to know I had a brother.
I often wondered what it would be like to have a big brother to fight and take up for me (smile) but I ended up being the big sister.
I didn’t have much time with you but I did cherish those moments and the bond.  All we could mostly do was smile at each other showing those wide “gaps”.
So to you brother, the memories will still be there.

I never imagined having to say goodbye and bury my son and also my baby brother.  I’m going to miss you dearly.  I just wish we had more time together and could have stayed more in contact.  I’m going to miss your smile, laughter, love and comfort you gave as our brother.  You always acted like you were our big brother.  I pray your soul finds peace and rest.
