James F. Cuellar, 68, of Port Lavaca passed away June 17, 2021. He was born September 2, 1952 in Port Lavaca to Quirino Cuellar Sr. and Maria Luisa Trevino Cuellar. He was retired from Victoria ISD where he was the head custodian and a member of Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Simon C. Briseno, John Paul Briseno, and Fabian Briseno; sisters, Janie Fuentes, Dora Taylor, Santos Ramirez, Alice Ann DeLaGarza, and Teresita Cuellar; brothers, Raymond D. Cuellar, Joe Luis Cuellar , Tony Cuellar, and Felix Cuellar; and grandchild, Annmarie G. Briseno.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Aguilar-Silva; and brother, Quirino Cuellar Jr.
James will lie in state at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church with funeral mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Port Lavaca Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Simon C. Briseno, Fabian Briseno, Rudy Aguilar,Christopher Cuellar,
Tony Cuellar and Chris Mumphord.
