Josephine Marie Lento

Josephine Marie Lento, age 72, of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 5-7pm, with rosary beginning at 7pm at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 12pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Port O'Connor, with burial following at Port O'Connor Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Manuel Lento Jr., Noah Lento, Daniel Hernandez, Jesus Rios, Jonathan Torres, and CJ Sanchez. Josephine was born January 27, 1953 in Port O'Connor to the late Manuel and Guadalupe Carriles. You could always find her baking, listening to her oldies, making a round around town, playing games and spending time with her family (they were the most important people in her life). She enjoyed decorating for the holidays and going on trips. She was always on the go. She was a loving wife, caring mother, wonderful grandmother, sister and aunt, and she will be deeply missed.

Josephine is survived by her husband, Richard Lento; daughter, Amanda Flores (Isreal); son, Manuel Lento; sisters, Alberta Hernandez Carriles and Adela De La Cruz (Jaime); brother, Robert Carriles Sr.; grandchildren, Manuel Lento, Jr. (Natalie), Noah Lento (Gillian), Savana Lento, Anjelica Torres (Jonathan), Jolene Flores (Daniel Hernandez) and Layla Flores (Jesus Rios); great-grandchildren, Jonathan Torres, Jr., Kylie Torres, Erin Torres, Khalani Morales, Khaleena Hernandez, Amelia Rios and Manuel Lento III on the way.

Josephine was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Carriles; mother, Guadalupe Ramos Carriles; and siblings, Manuel Carriles III, Abel Carriles, Paul Carriles and Ben Carriles.
