Mary Evelyn Gentry

Mary Evelyn Gentry, 92, of Sanger, TX passed away December 15, 2025. She was born February 22, 1933 in Colorado City, Texas to George Isaac and Tommie Leah Smith Haines. Mary was a homemaker and took excellent care of her home and cared deeply for her family. She also enjoyed spending time working outside.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gail Jenkins (Joe Darrel); son, Steve Edward Gentry (Jana); half-sister, Martha Anderson (Philip Anderson); 7 grandchildren, Dustin Jenkins, Dillon Jenkins, Leah Milne, Erick Gentry, Jordan Gentry, Carter Gentry, and Tyler Gentry; 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Gentry; parents; sister, Nancy Haines Womack; brother, Charles Haines; and grandson, Brent Gentry.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 3-4 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4 p.m. with Dustin Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Gribble Springs Cemetery in Sanger on Monday, December 22, 2025 at 3 p.m.
