

Port Lavaca – Robert Frank Reinhard, 82, of Port Lavaca passed away February 23, 2016. He was born December 27, 1933 in Fish Creek, Wisconsin to the late Oscar & Margaret Gunnerson Reinhard.
Robert was retired from a 20 year career in the United States Air Force, followed by more than 20 years teaching a myriad of subjects & grade levels with Calhoun County Independent School District. He loved not only to fish, but ‘catch’, garden – harvesting fruits and vegetables of all types, finish crosswords at any level, take long walks with his family & especially love and spoil his grandchildren. He was a very active member of Salem Lutheran Church serving on Church Council & teaching Sunday school. More than anything, he enjoyed spending all of his summers and as much time as he could back in his home state of Wisconsin with his wife of more than 58 years, Ethel Joan Reinhard who preceded him in death on November 28, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his brother Russell Reinhard.
He is survived by sons, Robert Reinhard, Jr. (Sandra) of McKinney, Jon Reinhard (Robin) of Corpus Christi, Mark Reinhard (Becky) of Port Lavaca, Jeff Reinhard (Terri) of Fairview; his sister Jeanne Desotelle of Cedarburg, WI, Janet Purvis of Del Ray Beach, FL, Joanne Black of Conroe, Sister-in-law, Michelle Reinhard of Saint Petersburg, FL and his grandchildren, Kristen, Taylor, Bryce, Miranda and Jacob Reinhard, Michael Doddridge, Kyle, Claire, Ben and Max Reinhard.
Visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church with full Military Honors to follow. Burial will take place at a later date in Wisconsin.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons Taylor, Bryce, Jacob, Michael, Kyle, Ben and Max.
