Walter T. Krause, 84, of Olivia passed away December 14, 2015. He was born February 2, 1931 in Mc Allen, Texas to the late Herman and Clara Krause. He was a retired engineer, farmer/rancher and served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Krause; daughter, Lauren Krause Howell (Mark); sons, Ted Krause (Diane), Mark Krause (Cindy); sisters, Ruth Wright, Florence Wright, Magdaline Harris, Caroline Hamilton, Jeanette Graham, Margaret Inlow; brothers, Edward Krause, Harold Krause; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Krause and brothers, Victor Krause and John Krause.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Point Comfort with Pastor Jim Gickelhorn officiating. Visitation will follow the Celebration of Life at the church.
Pallbearers are William Krause, Robert Krause, Doug Howell, David Howell, Jon Barron, and Mark Kevin Krause .
Honorary Pallbearers are Shaughnessy Howell, Leslie Cordova and Reggie Johnson.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of South Texas or American Cancer Society.
