Andrew C. Blow, “Andy”, of Daytona Beach passed away the afternoon of June 1st, 2022 at the age of 50 due to complications from multiple health issues that had plagued him for some time. Born in Burlington, VT to Thomas and Gabrielle “Betsy” Blow, Andy moved with his family to the Daytona Beach area in 1985, graduating from Mainland High School in 1989.
Andy then spent several years working in the Daytona Community College’s theatre department while he took many classes as an avid student. He earned multiple associate of arts degrees before leaving the entertainment industry. He became a truck driver for a brief time, however prior back injuries and a car accident prevented him from continuing on the road. He took this opportunity to become a consummate caregiver for his parents and a community volunteer when his health allowed. A selfless man, he would somehow always be there for a friend in need or doing something for others. The family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his parents in Heaven.
Andy’s hobbies also included watching movies, especially ones based on comic books or Marvel characters, extreme couponing, wrestling, and enjoying a good meal with friends and family alike – wherever it may be. He also was a fierce animal lover, and enjoyed spending time with his cat, Sam.
He will be fondly remembered by his siblings: Danny (Larry Wilhelm) Blow, Kathy (Raymie) Clavelle, Jayne Blow, and John (Deanna) Blow; 6 nephews; 1 niece; 2 grand-nieces; 2 grand-nephews; and a host of friends who while may not have been blood related were as close to Andy as family – including his roommate and good friend, Barbara Pauley and her family as well as the Setchfield family.
True to his selfless nature, Andy was an organ donor, and his gift will continue to help others in the upcoming days. Please consider becoming an organ donor yourself to continue to save lives and assist others.
