Barbara was born in New York City, NY. Her parents were Vincent and Alice Hagenburg. She received her CNA certification from Harford Community College. She worked as a medication nurse at the Citizens Rehab Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. She attended the St. Joan of Arc Church in Aberdeen, MD.
She married James Lagerman on June 29, 1968, at Our Lady of Solace in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY.
She is predeceased by her mother, Alice Hagenburg, and her brother, Mickey Hagenburg.
She is survived by her loving husband for 49 years, James Lagerman (South Daytona); her son James Robert Lagerman (Kansas City, MO); her daughter Evelyn Vogt (Aberdeen, MD); granddaughter Katherine Vogt ; sister Mary Hagenburg (Long Island, NY); niece Barbara Ann Levy (Long Island, NY), and brothers Robert Vincent Hagenburg (Long Island, NY) and Joseph Hagenburg (Georgia).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in memory of Barbara Lagerman to ASPCA or St. Joseph Indian Mission.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange, FL.
