Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Slater and siblings: Ann, James, and Robert “Bobby”. Barbara leaves to cherish fond memories, her loving children: Linda Pascale (Larry), Donald Schmidt Jr., Margaret McGowan, and Barbara Wolf (Bill); her grandchildren: Kristen, Justin, Jesseca, Zachary (Justine), Brandon, Taylor (Luke), and Troy; her great-grandchildren: Kendall, Emma, Jackson, Lydia, Mason, Jolee and Maddox; niece, Jackie MacMahon (Neil) and life-long best friend, Sue LaRouche.
Barbara worked for the Vick’s Company in New York. In 1967, she moved her family to Florida, settling in Port Orange. Barbara worked for the Credit Bureau in Daytona Beach for over 25 years and later at Masci and Nascar locally.
Barbara’s greatest enjoyment was reading, the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 21st from 11am -2 pm at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home – Port Orange, 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange FL 32129, with a Celebration of Life service at 12pm.
