It is with great sadness and sense of loss we announce the passing of Betty Jean Murray-Bertolini on Friday morning, December 21st in the year of our Lord 2018 at the age of 91. One of five sisters born in Bluefield West Virginia, Betty Jean took the bold step of leaving the comforts of home and went to Washington D.C. by herself at a very young age where she successfully passed for a woman older than her years in order to secure her first real job. Here she worked for the Treasury Dept. where she found hope for her future. Much later in life she worked for McBride Agency in Franklin Lakes N.J. as a real estate broker. She loved her job and always considered it as much more. To her it was always a way to be with people and help them find their dream home. She had a way of shining the ' Gift of JOY' into the lives of the people she came in contact with from friends to perfect strangers. She shared her love with becoming a volunteer at Hospice in Port Orange Florida for many years. She brought the patients much comfort and love. When becoming ill she fought bravely with much dignity and courage, never complaining about her health. She was a woman of courage and faith. She is survived by her husband Frank Bertolini, and children: Paul Raymond Murray Jr, Laura Lee Morin and Debra Hines; along with her grandchildren: Ashley Morin, Courtney Morin, Natalie Hines and Garrett Hines. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. A memorial service will be held at Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Drive, Port Orange FL on January 3rd at 1 pm.
