

Claudette Paulette Josette Lubosch, born January 31, 1943, in Chateauroux, France, died peacefully at the Halifax Hospice in Port Orange, Florida, September 16, 2024, with her husband Norbert Lubosch and her children by her side.
In 1964, Claudette came to the USA with her former husband (USAF) and their 2 sons Andrew and Dennis and spent several years in Tacoma,WA, Chicago, IL, Torrechon in Spain and then Sumter, SC. In 1981, Claudette moved to Germany for 1 year with her husband Norbert Lubosch (German Air Force). Their 2 sons Stephan and Dominic were born in Wichita Falls, TX while on assignment. Afterwards, Claudette spent another 10 years in Germany before moving back to the USA in 1995, residing for good in Port Orange, FL. Claudette's background enabled her to be proficient and fluent in 4 languages (French, Spanish, German and English) and to learn about and welcome different cultures and ways of living. This helped her to become a wonderful cook. Her 2 families and her many good friendships with many great people were her highest priorities, not to forget her love for her 4 dogs and 4 cats over the years. Claudette had a great talent and love for painting. She was a blessing for all. Claudette is survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister living in France (Christian Joly and his Spouse Nicole, Bernard Joly, Patrick Joly, Pascal Joly and Josianne Joly), her sons Andrew Kunkle with Melissa Kunkle, Dennis Kunkle with Dori Kunkle, Stephan Lubosch with his daughter Live and Dominic Lubosch. Also mourning for grandma / meme Claudette are her granddaughters Megan Kunkle and Emilie Kunkle with her son Brooks, and her grandsons Andrew Kunkle and Luke Kunkle.
The Mass for Claudette's Funeral will take place at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany in Port Orange, FL, on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 1:00pm. The burial of Claudette's ashes is done by Dignity Memorial / Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Port Orange and will take place immediately after the church service at the Woodland Cemetery, Port Orange, next to the Church of the Epiphany, followed by a reception at the Church of the Epiphany.
