

John C. Crews, 94, of Port Orange FL passed away early the morning of March 14, 2021. Born in Clifton Forge, VA, John was the son of Esca and Marie (nee Coffey) Crews. After serving in the United States Navy, John worked for Philadelphia Electric (Exelon) as an electrical engineer, retiring at age 57. While in Pennsylvania, he was a member of several trade organizations and was active in the Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ in Skippack, singing in the choir and serving on the consistory. John moved to the Port Orange area in 1993. While in Florida, he enjoyed golf, gardening, staying in touch with people, sending cards, being a part of the Lions, and meeting up for breakfasts with the guys. John leaves behind two sons, David (Tawanya Newell-Crews) Crews of Schwenksville, PA and James (Susan) Crews of Hendersonville, TN, along with 7 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. He was met in Heaven by his late wife Phyllis, sons John Crews Jr. and Phillip Crews, and brother, Esca Crews Jr. A service celebrating his life will be held in Pennsylvania in May 2021.
