A Celebration of Life for John William Haury, Jr, who passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018, at the Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange, Florida, will be Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Flag Sticks at Cypress Head Golf Course Clubhouse, 6231 Palm Vista St., Port Orange, FL.
Mr. Haury was born in Nashville, TN, and moved to the Port Orange area in 1999 from Franklin, TN. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Mr. Haury was a retired Human Resources Manager with the U.S. Tobacco Manufacturing Company in Nashville. He was a United States Army Reserves Veteran. Mr. Haury was a member of the Cypress Head Men’s Golf Association. He was an avid golfer, car enthusiast and Christ follower.
Mr. Haury was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Carol. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Elaine; son, John “Trey” (Kristina) Haury from McDonough, GA; daughter, Jana (Richard) Burns from Cumming, GA; Son, Jason (Becky) Haury of St. Louis, MO; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Scott) Stephens from Alexandria, VA; sister, Joanne Clark from Franklin, TN; seven grandsons and two grand-daughters, and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
