Memorial Service for John William Neal who passed away February 5 at Port Orange Nursing and Rehab will be 4pm Wednesday February 9 at the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3pm until service time at 4pm. Mr. Neal was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to this area in 1997 from Bloomington, Indiana. He retired in 1980 from RCA as a Plant Superintendent and was a member of First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach. An avid outdoors man, Mr. Neal enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Bloomington Rod and Gun Club. He also enjoyed woodworking and photography. Survivors include his daughter Pat Shook who is a Realtor with Watson Realty in Port Orange and son in law, Richard Shook, who is an Airline Pilot for Continental Airlines; two grandsons, Brian and Andrew Shook.
