“Johnny” Nathan M. Duckworth was born to George R. and Ella Runyon Duckworth in Ormond Beach, FL on April 3, 1937. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings Dorothy Hill, Esther Houdyshell, and Robert Duckworth. Johnny is survived by his wife of 62 years, Caroline Duckworth, his daughter Tina (David) Battistone, his son John (Shahntay) Duckworth, and his grandson Benjamin Duckworth. He also had many loved nephews and nieces. Johnny, a licensed Florida contractor, worked for 34 years in the building industry in Daytona Beach, and oversaw the construction of several of the area’s beachfront hotels. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange for 60 years, Johnny passed on January 22, 2021 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach due to complications resulting from Myasthenia Gravis, a rare neuromuscular disease. Private services will be held at Shannon Maloney Funeral Home with only immediate family in attendance.
