Linda M. Day, 54, of Daytona Beach, died September 18, 2013 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center. She was born to the late George Hobbs and Marie J Hobbs on February 16, 1959, in New Rochelle, New York. She graduated from Spruce Creek High School, and received two associates degrees from Daytona State College. Linda worked as a paralegal for more than a decade at the law offices of Rottstein and Shiffman, where they affectionately nicknamed her Princess Splenda. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and worked very hard to ensure her sons and grandchildren were taken care of. Linda was taken too soon from the family and friends who loved her so much, but is sitting next to her Daddy now, watching over them all. Linda is survived by three children: Thomas Crawford, his wife Cheree, Christopher Crawford, and Nicolas Day, all of Florida. She is also survived by seven grand children (Brian, Cassandra, Brittany, Kourtnee, Austin, Mikayla, and Elizabeth), her mother Marie J Hobbs, her sisters Ruth Ann Wimberly (husband Dale) and Marie A. Hobbs, her brother George Hobbs, two nephews, three nieces, her dear friend Kim Lowe, and her cat Hilary. A memorial service will be held at 5pm Wednesday the 25th of September at the chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Port Orange.
