Natalie M Strauss

Natalie Martha Wellersdieck Strauss, age 89, of Port Orange, passed away October 13, 2022, at Halifax Medical Center. Celebration of Life services will be on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home in Port Orange. She will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.

Mrs. Strauss was married 64 years to the late Paul Strauss who passed away in 2015 and they had lived in the Port Orange community over the past 30 years. She was born in Glen Cove, NY. Natalie was predeceased by her three siblings, Genieve, Harriet, and Joseph. Paul and Natalie raised their three sons while in Glen Cove. They loved spending any free time on the ocean with the family. Natalie was an avid cook and unbelievable baker. She enjoyed spending hours on the phone with her family. Even at 89 she could text and email with her grandchildren. She was a much loved Mother, Gigi, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Robert Strauss (Carol), Gary Strauss (Daunta), and Jerry Strauss (Donnie); grandchildren Michael Strauss (Amy), Jessie Galyon, Heather Galyon (Mike), and Magdalena Strauss; great-grandchildren Sydney Strauss, Nate Galyon, Nick Galyon, Samantha Galyon, and Jacob Galyon.

A Celebration of Life and visitation for Natalie will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Volusia Memorial Port Orange, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, Florida 32129. A Celebration of Life funeral service will occur Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM.
