Paschal "Pat" Layne Jr.

Dr. Rev Paschal “Pat” Stuart Layne Jr., born August 28, 1946, went to be with His Lord and Savior on February 15, 2014. Pat was born in Dallas Texas and was preceded in death by his parents, Paschal Stuart Layne Sr. and Frances Layne. He is also preceded in death by his brother Charles Layne and sister Linda Layne Davis.

Pat is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Jacquelyn “Jackie” Layne. During their marriage, God blessed them with 2 children: One daughter Staci Marie Layne, who passed away in 1984 and son Stuart Michael Layne of Daytona Beach. He is survived by 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Pat was a graduate of North Dallas High School and he loved his Bulldogs, and still today, kept in touch with his high school pals. Pat’s education included Lon Morris College, East Texas State University, Southwestern Seminary and Luther Rice Seminary.

Pat loved his family and he loved his Lord Jesus Christ. Brother Pat served the Lord in ministry for over 30 years. God blessed them in so many ways in ministering to people and sharing God’s word.

Join us on February 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, in South Daytona, for a celebration of life honoring the life of Brother Pat Layne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church (South Daytona) or Vita’s Hospice.
