Patty was born in Detroit, MI, to the late James P. O’Donnell and Thelma K. (Westerberg) O’Donnell. She was raised in Dearborn, MI, and was a 1963 graduate of Fordson High School. She loved to water ski and play the piano. Patty was a loving wife of 47 years to the late Daniel A. Beaumont. She bowled with her family in various leagues as the kids were growing up. She loved to bake, shop, do ceramics, make latch hook rugs, attend craft fairs, and read books (her favorite being Danielle Steel). Patty was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend to all. Patty worked as a secretary at Ford Motor Company and many other companies, prior to retiring from Ecolab in 2001. Patty loved being barefoot and at the beach, which eventually led to Dan and Patty relocating to Port Orange, FL, in 2001. She loved attending the car shows to spend time with her friends, and especially driving her 1967 Ford Mustang. Patty was always down for hot fudge sundaes and saltwater taffy. She collected candles, lighthouses, angels, and so many special memories with friends and family.
Survivors include her daughter, Trisha R. Lopes (Jay), son Brett Beaumont (Carissa), brother Ron O’Donnell, granddaughter Madisyn Rutledge, 6 step-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. Patty was predeceased by her brother, Gerald O’Donnell. A very special thank you to Wickshire Senior Living and Halifax Health Hospice for their amazing and loving care.
