

Paul Petrillo DDS on August 3, 2015 who resided in Ponce Inlet surrounded by his family, went to be with The Lord. He was 94 years of age at his passing, born in Philadelphia, Pa. he grew up in Upper Darby, Pa. the third son of Paolo & Angelina (Cona) Petrillo his six siblings preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Sylvia (Parente) Petrillo, and two sons Arthur Petrillo with his wife Thai Nguyen, and Raymond Petrillo, and five grandchildren: Alina, Victor, Paul, Andrew & Mira. He is preceded in death by one son Carl Petrillo.
After high school he was employed first in the Philadelphia Navy Yard then he continued to serve his country in the Army-Air Corp 79th Fighter Group during World War II. He flew in the European African & Middle Eastern Campaign in a B-17 as a radio operator-gunner. After returning from the war he attended LaSalle College in Philadelphia on the GI bill. Later attending Temple Dental School and graduating in 1952. His dental career spanned almost 40 years in Springfield, Pa in private practice where he was known as a caring and kind man starting out his dental career volunteering with The Red Feather Organization treating underprivileged children.
A funeral mass will be 8:30 am Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Port Orange followed by a Military burial in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 12:30 pm. His family and friends should be comforted to remember Jesus’ words in John 10:27-29.
