Paul R. Strauss, 91, of Port Orange, passed away Sunday May 3, 2015 at the Halifax Health Hospice of Port Orange. Paul was born in Queens, New York on November 2, 1923. A Navy man he served his country in WWII at Pearl Harbor and Japan after the Atomic Bomb. He was a Master Carpenter at Grumman Aerospace where he worked on the Space Capsule mock-ups for the Lem and Applo missions. After retiring he worked as a Senior Display Designer for Brochure Displays in Port Orange for 10 years. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Natalie; three sons, Robert, Gary and Jerry, daughter Denise Chemeski; sisters, Florence Johnson, Eleanor DelFerraro, Linda Hensley and Ruth Ann Green; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday 2-3 p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 S Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
