

Raymond Longo Jr., 82, passed away on May 8, 2023, in Daytona Beach. He is survived by his son, Raymond Troy; his daughter-in-law, Kim, and his granddaughter, Taylor Elena. Raymond was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Della Ann. He was the only child of Ramon and Helen Longo. He was born in Ybor City, Florida, and lived most of his life in Tampa. He moved to Daytona Beach Shores in 2018. He was married to his loving wife Della Ann for 47 years. He will be reunited with her at his final resting place in Tampa.
He worked for Hillsborough County mosquito control for 30 years. He received several recognition awards during his time of service. He retired in 2001, and was an expert barber and he volunteered his skills for Hospice of Tampa for 11 years.
He enjoyed jazz music and played as a drummer in a band in his youth. He was a NASCAR fan. He liked treasure hunting for unusual items at estate sales and metal detecting at the beach. Raymond also loved animals.
He was an unforgettable personality. Anyone that knew him would say that he always left you laughing.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 24, at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 201 University Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32118, with a reception to follow.
