Renae’s career was mostly focused in the hospitality field. She was a server, bartender, coffee house manager and a department store manager in her early years of work, she loved helping and serving people.
Renae enjoyed baking, often filling her home with the sweet aromas of homemade treats. Her cookies and cakes create memories that will stay with her family forever. A generous soul, she loved sharing her culinary creations with friends and neighbors, offering a slice of Warmth to anyone in need. She always made sure that there was an extra seat or even two at our table for friends or family, anyone who would drop in was welcome with open arms. She never lost that in her later years, always making enough food for an army even after her 3 children had left the home.
In addition to her love for baking, Renae had a deep passion for crafts and thrifting. She found joy in creating beautiful and unique treasures, whether through painting or repurposing found objects into something new and wonderful. Her creativity was endless, and she delighted in finding beauty in the simplest and smallest things. Her home was a testament to her creativity, filled with hand painted murals and furniture that reflected her heart and soul.
Renae always had a zest for life, friends and family. One of the main reasons people fell in love with her was her smile, kindness and love for everyone including strangers, friends and family. She treated everyone with dignity and kindness. She lit up a room when she entered and was your best friend when she left the room. This type of light will be missed by all of those that knew her through the years.
Renae was preceded in death by Edward Leino-Jones (father) and John Nartker (step-father). Surviving family members include her mother Shirley Nartker, spouse Tim Wood, her children Linsay Moore, Levi Wood and Dakota Wood. Renae also has three grandchildren Laynie Moore, Jameson Moore and Riley Wood.
A celebration of life for Renae will be held at a later date in Michigan with family and friends at the end of Summer or beginning of Fall.
