

Surrounded by his family, Bob went peacefully to be with his Savior Jesus Christ early October 23, 2017. The son of Floyd and Lillia Moore, he was born at home on Herbert St. in Port Orange on March 2, 1937. He began fishing on the Halifax River as a boy, and also enjoyed hunting, singing, and playing guitar. Bob built his first home on Jackson St. when he was eighteen. In the 50’s and 60’s he worked as a plastering contractor. Later, when making his way as a real estate broker, he felt the Lord calling him to bring God’s love to the hearts and souls of others. So, in 1981 he opened Bob’s Shoe Repair where he served loyal customers for 35 years.Bob was a deacon of First Baptist Church of Port Orange, where a celebration of his life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, Oct. 28. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Peggy, daughter Tina, son Danny, and grandchildren Lisa, Michelle, Tim, Kristy, and Richey, as well as nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandbaby expected in May.
