

A Celebration of Life for Rocco Longo, who went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Port Orange, FL, will be 7:00 pm on Friday, October 7, 2011 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange, FL, with Deacon Tom Tagye as the celebrant.
Mr. Longo was born in Gela, Sicily, Italy to the late Concetta (nee' Pennata) and Emanuele Longo, where he grew up until he became a young man. He found employment in Tripoli, Lybia, where he began a family with his wife, Rosaria Longo. They moved to the New York metropolitan area in 1960 with their kids. He later retired and they moved to Port Orange in the early 1980's. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Josephine Leschitz.
Mr. Longo leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Rosaria; daughter, Connie (Mike) Waldman; son, Emanuel (Dianna) Longo; daughter, Yolanda (Dan) Longo; daughter, Yvana (Lenny) Sanclemente; son, Anthony (Joann) Longo; son, Robert (Joanne) Longo; daughter, Stephanie (Douglas) Boyles; seventeen grandchildren; five great grandchildren with two more in the womb; pet dog, Romeo. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and pet owner and will truly be missed by everyone who knew him.
