Shannon Marie (May) Smith, 37, of Port Orange, crossed the bridge, suddenly, March 5, 2016. She was born on October 30, 1978 in Daytona Beach. Shannon worked at Michaels Arts & Crafts, and really enjoyed her job. She was a lover of animals and especially had a love for German Shepherds and her collection of Seals. She was also a faithful fan of the Florida Gators. Survivors include her parents; Richard (Cotton) and Millie May; her loving daughter, Colleen Elizabeth; sister, Tracey May; niece, Chelsea Ray; Colleen’s father, Kenneth Smith; step daughter, Jesyca Smith and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces , nephews and many lifelong friends. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of South Daytona, 2197 Kenilworth Ave, South Daytona at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
