

Angeline J. Helvy, 79, of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away December 27, 2017. Angeline was born in Raccoon Creek, Kentucky to the late Landon and Quinnie Justice. She had 10 other siblings. She moved to Florida from Lancaster, Pennsylvania approximately 20 years ago. Angeline resided in Pennsylvania for over 50 years. Angeline enjoyed helping others. She was active in The Red Cross, Hospice, Suicide Prevention Hotlines, and Safe Space. She had 5 Masters Degrees without ever attaining her High School diploma. Angeline was a Psychologist specializing in Children’s Services. She worked in grief counseling after the Columbine shootings. She enjoyed dedicating her time to helping othersin Haiti on Mission Trips. She helped set up Hurricane Shelters after the devastating storms struck. In her spare time, Angeline was known to sew, needlepoint, quilt, garden, bake delicious rum cakes, play bridge, eat out, and visit the ocean. She loved her family dearly. Angeline was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Helvy; and great granddaughter, Addie Koblegard. Survivors include her son, J. Paul Helvy (Melissa), of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; daughter, Kim Smith(Greg), of Port St. Lucie; grandchildren, Angelyn Koblegard, Daniel Smith, Nathan Helvy, and Garret Helvy; great grandson, Hunter Koblegard; siblings, Maggie Harris and Dennis Justice; and life partner, Sol Sparer.
