Edward Martin Zikus Jr.

Edward Martin Zikus, Jr., 68, departed this life Monday, June 22, 2015. Mr. Zikus was born in Miami, Dade County, FL, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 19 years coming from Andover, CT. Mr. Zikus was preceded in death by his father, Edward Zikus, Sr.; mother, Margaret Zikus; brother, William J. Zikus; and sister, Margaret Parson. He is survived by his wife, Jane Zikus, of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter, Wendy Rivers (Kindell), FL; son, Edward Martin Zikus, III (Kimberly), CT; grandsons, Wayne Stapleton, Jr. (Samantha), FL, Javar Rivers, FL, Joshua Zikus and Jaiden Zikus, and Andrew Gorbel, CT; granddaughter, Tori Gorbel, CT; brother, Robert “Bob” Zikus, FL; sister-in-law, Darlene Zikus (TX); 4 nieces; 3 nephews; and great grandsons, Zaedyn Stapleton and Jae’vion Stapleton. Mr. Zikus served in the United States Army during Vietnam between 1963 and 1966. He owned EMZ Plumbing & Heating, Inc. in Port St. Lucie, FL. He was also a member of American Legion Post # 0318 for 9 years. Visitation will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore BLVD, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1.
