

Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Rocco A Meyo and Lucy Florio Meyo and his siblings, Nicholas Meyo, Anthony Meyo, and Maryann Meyo Seitz, and his first wife, Margaret Blomes Meyo.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Lynne Meyo, his children Agnes Meyo (Frank), Charles Meyo (Jennifer), and Lucy Meyo, and his Stepson, Clinton A Symons (Kristina)
Francis took great joy in his grandchildren; Caroline Meyo, Margaret Meyo (Carson), James Patrick Meyo, Lucianna M Catanzaro, Alexis Symons (Telemachos) and Richard J Symons (Annie}.
Francis attended St. Michael’s Catholic School and West Tech High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, he attended, John Carroll University, University of Detroit, and St. Louis University.
Francis served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Using GI Bill, he attended the University of Detroit, where he studied Aeronautical Engineering. In his senior year, he participated in a Co-Op program with the McDonnell Douglas Company in St. Louis, working as a vibration’s specialist – the practical application was the progressive development of the first supersonic wing of the F-4 Phantom fighter. After graduation, he joined McDonnell Douglas Company, enjoying a successful career in aerospace engineering. His education continued at Saint Louis University, earning a master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering. As a result of his achievements, Francis was one of the first Senior Managers promoted to lead a new engineering software and outsourcing organization called the McDonnell Douglas Automation Company (MCAUTO).
Francis and Bonnie enjoyed their family time and especially the time spent with the best grandchildren in the world. They traveled to US military airbases and to Italy and the UK where they visited local Historic World War 2 airbases.
After moving to Florida in 2000, Francis and his wife, Bonnie started their second careers as Realtors with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty.
In his community at Cascades, Francis was an avid bowler and wrote the monthly bowling article for the Cascadian magazine.
He was a member of the: American Legion, DAV and Korean War Veterans Chapter 106.
Francis will be remembered for his dedication to lifelong learning, his love of poetry and airplanes, service, and family, as well as his intellectual curiosity.
