Gerod Wayne Johnson

Gerod Wayne Johnson, 53, a resident of Port St. Lucie, departed this life Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Gerod was preceded in death by his wife, Heather G. Johnson. He is survived by his mother, Lottie Johnson-Wheeler (James); siblings, George Johnson, III, Elisa Johnson-Matthews (Hilton), Judy Johnson, Devora Johnson, Lynn Hinds (Harry), and Timothy Johnson; a special niece, Stephanie Sykes; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Gerod was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and also served for two years in the reserves. He was a purchasing manager for Marine Tek of Florida and an avid supporter of the New York Giants. Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Aycock Funeral Home – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore BLVD, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, where funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie, FL.
