Mr. Mate was born in Chicago, IL. He retired from General Motors as a tool and die maker.
Mr. Mate was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Anne. He is survived by his daughters, Connie Coppo, and her husband, Frank, of Pottstown, PA, and Kathy Long, and her husband, John, of Port St. Lucie; and four grandchildren, Meghan, James, Zach and Morgan.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, 5/24, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes – Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port St. Lucie. Interment will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie.
