Johnny was born on February 21, 1984 in Milford, CT. He moved to Georgia as a child with his mother and sister, where he spent the majority of his life.
Johnny graduated from Hiram High School in 2002. He eventually went on to work as a driver for the City of Powder Springs.
Johnny began his life with Diane Mora-Velez in 2012 and formed a family with their 5 children.
In 2018 they relocated to Port Saint Lucie, FL and were married in 2019.
In 2022 Johnny began working for All Points Mobile Shredding, Co. where he built everlasting friendships and was dedicated to be of service to the company and coworkers for over 2 years.
He enjoyed traveling, family time, football, deep sea fishing, cars, cooking, shopping for new sneakers for his collection, and going to church with his family.
Johnny was a kind person, always willing to help others. He was a hard worker who provided for his family, a protector of his family and loved ones, and had a brilliant mind with a heart of gold.
He is survived by his wife Diane Mora-Velez and their 5 children, Abel Velez (mother Stephanie), Jayden, Teyanna, and Tyler Carroll and Dominic Velez; Mother Marlyn Dickson (Thomas); Father Johnny Velez, Sr. (Edna); Brother Derrick Joiner (Megan); Sister Marlyn Lashanda Velez; Stepsisters Marisol Serrano, Mercedes Serrano, Precioa Horton and Latoya Dixon; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Johnny may you rest in peace in the arms of our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
