Born in West Palm Beach, FL, Julia was a resident of Port St. Lucie before moving to Fort Pierce a little over a year ago. She was a graduate of Penn Foster Home School and had just recently graduated with her degree in Medical Assisting. In her younger years, Julia volunteered in area nursing homes, and more recently, was employed by Big Brothers, Big Sisters of America. She took great pride in teaching and helping young children.
Julia would light up the room with her smile, and she had such a kind and loving heart. Everyone loved her! She was in love with her fiancé, Alaan, and dog Izzy (daughter). Julia enjoyed the simple life, and making new friends. At times, when visiting her fiancé's family, she was elated by their love for her and was included in every event. Julia loved cross word puzzles, card games and domino's and mostly enjoyed Bahamian dishes. She liked going to the beach, stargazing, meditation and nature walks. Julia quickly became the life of every gathering, and was very special to all of us. She will always be loved and truly missed.
She is survived her parents, David and Alicia Renken of Port St. Lucie; brother, Zachary Renken of Port St. Lucie; fiancé and love of her life, Alaan Smith of Fort Pierce; paternal grandparents, Connie and John Renken; aunts and uncles, Alan (Julie), Johnny (Karen), Joanne (Mike), Carolyn, Lorraine (Tom), Larry (Pep), David (Sandy), Eric (Christine) and Abby (Bob), along with many loving cousins and friends.
Julia was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Lora and Howard Passin.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 20 from 2:00-4:00PM with a memorial service to begin at 3:00PM at Aycock at Tradition in Port St. Lucie FL.
