Paul was born the second of four children to Frank Bobko and Paula (Harder) White in Allentown, New Jersey. He was the first generation of his mother’s family to be born in the USA, after she immigrated from Germany during WWII. Growing up on farms in New Egypt and Monmouth Junction, New Jersey, Paul was provided the perfect environment to hone his skills in all things automotive, mechanical and handywork.
Paul was last employed as an ASE Certified Mechanic for Mercedes of Palm Beach, prior to reaching retirement age. He was also a welder, semi/tow truck driver, and heavy equipment operator. If it had two, four or even eighteen wheels, he could drive it, fix it, paint it, and run it down the road. Paul was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and bass fisherman. He donated his time to several local charities and Veterans organizations, and was a member of American Legion Post 318.
Paul met his wife and best friend for more than a half century, Barbara, in 1973. Once empty nesters, they remained inseparable and constantly on the go. Paul patiently waited until his daughters were older to resume his love of riding Harley-Davidsons. His wife then joined him on a bike of her own, and they traveled to several campgrounds and Bikefests. Paul had a two-seat jon boat, affectionally named “The Love Boat”, and fished all over Florida with his wife, children, and friends.
Paul is deeply missed and has now joined his father, mother, brother Frank Bobko, in-laws Benjamin and Anna Radzai, brother-in-law Carl Kroh, brother-in-law Thomas Kulick, Sr., brother-in-law Vladamir “Walt” Tanchuk, son-in-law Gary A. Galiano, Jr., and many beloved pets.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, children Dana Bobko and Carla (Bobko) McDonald, sister Patricia Tanchuk, brother George Max Bobko, sister-in-law Roseann Kulick, brother-in-law Louis Kroh, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his dog, Bella.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January, 11, 2025, at Fernhill Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum, 1501 S Kanner Hwy, Stuart, Florida at 12:30 PM. All friends and family are welcome.
