Ralph William Burns, Jr., 82, a resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida, departed this life Monday, January 16, 2017. Mr. Burns was born in Gloucester, Massachusetts and was a Korean War Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He attended Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Burns worked for Polaroid Corporation in Waltham, Massachusetts, as well as working for Polaroid in Scotland and Holland, and retired from the company after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Gloucester Elks, and had a lifetime membership to Bass Rocks Golf Club in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Mr. Burns is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Kathryn Burns; children, David W. Burns, K. Lee Burns, and Heather R. Pipes; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and many other family members and friends. No services are planned at this time.
