Soondar K. Sookdeo

It is with great sadness that Soondar “Kris” Sookdeo, age 73, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with many health issues. Kris, was born October 6th, 1950 in Trinidad & Tobago. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1971 where he served his country for almost 40 years. He retired in 2010 as a CW5 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, moving shortly after to Florida, to enjoy retirement and be closer to family.

He was dedicated to serving his country and helping others. He was also known as an avid fisherman and car enthusiast! Kris was the best father, opa, husband, uncle, brother and role model to all those he came across. Kris was courageous, caring, funny, outgoing, and if you needed him, he would be the first to be there.

Kris will be missed by all of those whose life he touched. Please at this time keep his family in your thought and prayers.

A gathering of friends and family for Soondar will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. A graveside service will occur Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S SR 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
