Born in Hollywood, Florida, Stephen enjoyed a career in screen building, where he took pride in working with his hands and creating something lasting. Stephen was a true entrepreneur at heart—resourceful, self-motivated, and unafraid to take risks. He pursued his goals with determination and resilience, always seeking new ways to grow and provide for his family. His ability to adapt, learn, and lead was a testament to his drive and independence. Most recently, he found success as a forex day trader—a field where his intelligence and analytical mind truly shone.
A devoted member of Sunlight Community Church, Stephen served as Deacon of Care and was actively involved with the benevolence team. He loved praying with the pastors before services, reading the Psalm during worship, and supporting the CIA boys’ ministry. Despite significant health challenges, Stephen’s servant heart never wavered. Even in a wheelchair, he remained hands-on and always willing to help others in any way he could. He never allowed his circumstances to define him.
Stephen loved baseball, fishing, and being part of the men’s group at church. He was a loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves and Miami Dolphins. Above all, Stephen cherished his family.
Stephen was a devoted husband to Sarah, his best friend and partner in life. Their bond was built on faith, deep love, and unwavering support for one another through every season. As a father, he was endlessly proud of Brynn and Bryson. He loved them fiercely, always encouraging their dreams, celebrating their victories, and offering guidance grounded in wisdom and love.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Quick; his children, Brynn and Bryson; his mother, Elise Quick; his sister, Charlotte Schneider; and his half-sister, Alisa Quick. He leaves behind many friends and extended family members whose lives he touched through his kindness and service.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sunlight Community Church on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
