Prior to marrying, Bill heard the call to service, he answered the call and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
After his Naval service Bill and Maggie started their journey: Georgia, Ohio (where they started their family) children Kevin, (Charlotte) Pat (Dom) and Ken (Ann). Grandchildren Brian, Meghan, Brittany and Michael. Great Grandchildren Connor and Teagan. New Jersey and Connecticut were all places they called home finally settling in Brandon, FL. Making use of his VA benefits greatly extended the quality and length of Bill’s life. After Maggie’s passing in 2021 Bill moved to the Ardie R. Copas Florida Department of Veteran Services to be close to his daughter Pat and her husband Dom in Port Saint Lucie.
Surrounded by dozens of family pictures Bill thrived at the home. Bill was the first Resident President and took his position seriously. Bill enjoyed the activities and day trips provided by the facility. The most impactful outing was to D.C. on the Southeast Florida Honor Flight, he was grateful to be accompanied by Kevin and Pat and visited the war memorials, an emotional day.
Rest now valiant soldier, your work is done.
