

Florence graduated valedictorian from Cape Elizabeth High School and the New England Business College.
She was secretary and financial secretary of the Maine Publicity Bureau, Saint Luke’s Cathedral and Diet Workshop.
She was a member of the Embroiderers Guild of America, Women’s Literary Union and the Maine Historical Society. She was the National Historian and State President of the Daughters of Colonial Wars, served as State President of the Huguenot Society and New England Women. She was twice the Regent of the Elizabeth Wadsworth Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution as well as State Recording Secretary and National Chairman of the DAR American History Essay Contest and State Secretary of the Mayflower Society in Maine. Florence was a member of the Woodfords Congregational Church.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands; Lemont W. Littlefield in 1963 and Edward J. Norris in 1998, her son; Jon W. Littlefield and her sister; Carol Davis Schubert Sampson.
She is survived by her sister; Helene Albert of Portland, her brother; Gerald Davis of Naples, FL, four nieces; Elise Albert of Milwaukee, OR, Beth Hilton of Charlotte, NC, Nanette Profenno of Saco and Johanna Sweet of Needham, MA, two grandchildren, Jill Binford of Berkeley, CA and Jennifer Steele of South Portland, also four great grand children; Austin Steele, L. T. Steele, Kayla and Katherine Binford all from the Portland area.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday January 18, 2012 at the Woodfords Congregational Church 202 Woodford St. Portland.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Woodfords Congregational Church.
