Grace Mary Rega

Portland, ME-Grace Mary Rega age 89 of Portland died Friday June 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Newark, NJ on November 17, 1922 the daughter of Raphael and Mary Benacquista. Grace was a homemaker and mother. She also took care of her daughter Mary who was physically handicapped for 28 years. In the mid 1980s she met her second husband Anthony Rega and they moved to Maine to live in 2001. Grace enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Her daughter Toni and son in law Mike have been taking care of her for the last ten years.

Grace was predeceased by her husband Anthony, her two daughters Mary and Theresa, most of her nine brothers and sisters including recently her sister Gloria Longo.

Grace is survived by her daughter and son in law Toni and Mike Clark of Portland, a sister Yolanda Lembo of Bloomfield, NJ, a grandson Robert Orcutt and his wife Renee’ of Portland, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Monday July 2 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. Prayers will be recited Tuesday July 3 at 9:15 A.M. at the funeral home to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
