

Jeanette Grace Quattrucci Galli, of Portland, passed away on Friday, September 27 at home surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She was born in Portland, on September 9, 1934; a daughter of the late Gaetano and Assunta Theresa Paolino Quattrucci. Jeanette was married to Anthony Galli for 41 years. She attended Portland schools, graduating from Portland High School in 1953. Jeanette was the mother of seven wonderful children, and nana and great nana to 18 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.
Jeanette loved to play cards and spent many evenings with friends and family playing rummy. She was a longtime communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Sacred Heart Sodality and an active participant in the church community. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Galli.
She is survived by a daughter, Anna M. Micucci and her husband Richard of Falmouth, 6 sons, Edward G. Galli, Anthony J. Galli and his wife Janine, Daniel J. Galli and his wife Rebecca, Michael Galli and his wife Julie, Gilbert P. Galli and his wife Joanne and Ernest G. Galli, all of Portland; 2 sisters, Marie Napolitano and her husband Peter, Lucy Albano and her late husband Anthony, 4 brothers, Raymond Quattrucci and his wife Marie, Bernard Quattrucci and his wife Marie, Gaetano Quattrucci and his wife Patricia, and John Quattrucci and his wife Ethel. Jeanette was predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Frank Quattrucci.
Everyone in the community loved Jeanette and are saddened by her passing. The joys in her life were her family, trips to Italy with her husband, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeanette loved to cook for her family, friends, and neighbor. The smell of sauce and meatballs, and eggplant filled her kitchen on a weekly basis. Many happy holidays and occasions were spent in the family home on Morning Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral, 199 Woodford St., Portland, Tuesday from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
