Jerome Irving Dorsky

Falmouth, ME- Jerome (Jerry) I. Dorsky, 83, of Falmouth, Maine, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, following a period of declining health. Jerry was born on April 28, 1942, in Belfast, Maine, a son of David and Grace Dorsky. He was a proud member of Crosby High School, Class of 1960, and went on to earn his degree from Bryant College in 1964.

Jerry devoted his career to sales, working for Philips Petroleum Company, Glenko Distributors, and Apollo Corporation. He later founded his own independent business, Compass Patient Care, specializing in medical equipment.

In 1962, Jerry married Nancy, his high school sweetheart. Their marriage spanned 63 years, filled with love, partnership, and shared adventures. In 1969, Jerry and Nancy settled in Falmouth, Maine, where they raised their two sons, Dan and Jim, and where they remained after retirement.

Jerry began a lifelong interest in amateur radio in high school, operating under the call letters K1HKF. He also loved sailing and spent many happy summers sailing on Casco Bay and exploring locations along the Maine coast.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Sandra Sobel. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy (Snow) Dorsky; his sons, Daniel Mark (and wife Kimberly) of Cumberland and James Andrew (and wife Katrina) of Jefferson; his sister Deborah Wheeler of Bangor; and five beloved grandchildren, Rachel Tibbetts, Carly Geel, Grace Dorsky, Sophie Dorsky, and Henry Dorsky, along with great-grandsons Marcus and Samuel Tibbetts; as well as many cousins and nieces.

In lieu of funeral services, a family gathering was held to celebrate the life of a warm and gentle man who treated everyone he met with respect and good humor. His absence is deeply felt by his loving family and friends, and we will always treasure his memory.
