John Holt Botto, 31 of Chelsea, MA died at his home on November 4, 2015. He was born the son of Rocco J. Botto(Marsha Stevens) of Portland and Ethelind “Lindy” Holt of Jamestown, North Dakota. John is survived by his parents, 2 brothers, Lee H. Botto of Buxton, N.D. and Rocco H. Botto (Iris Hermann), of West Cornwell, CT and his niece, Ivy June. He attended schools in Scarborough, Freeport and Portland Maine. John will be remembered as a creative free spirit and loyal friend to all. John struggled with a 15 year drug addiction problem. He was loved by family and friends and will be sadly missed. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, November 11 from 10:00am -12 noon at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland where a celebration of John’s life will be held at 12 noon.
