Linda E. Gibson Nichols

South Portland- Linda E. Gibson Nichols, 71, passed away on December 3, 2014. The daughter of Edwin D, and Grace B. (Drew) Gibson, she was born in Portland Maine on March 15, 1943. She attended Portland schools and graduated from Portland High School class of 1961. She retired as an administrative clerk for the town of Windham, after serving in the position for many years. She loved music, Bingo, going to casinos, old movies (especially musicals), the Boston Red Sox, and the New England Patriots. She also loved animals especially her two cats Sammy & Cinder.

She was predeceased by her father Edwin in 1961, her mother Grace in 1975, her ex-husband George (Nick) Nichols, her sister Ruth B. Rosario Trufant in 1983, her sister Erlene N. Rosario Hjort in 1994, her brother Norman K. Rosario in 2005, and her brother Arnold V. Rosario in 2014.

She is survived by a sister in law Connie Rosario, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10-11 AM at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with a reception following the service. Interment will be private at Hillside Cemetery in Gorham, in the Spring.
