

She was born on December 3, 1949, in Portland, ME., the beloved daughter of John L. and Virginia M. (Driskell) Brett of Portland. She attended local schools, graduating from Portland High School in 1968.
She married Richard W. Moore Sr. on June 13, 1970 and they had two children, Richard Wayne Moore Jr. and Michelle Marie Moore-Ledger both of South Portland. Along with her late husband, she was a Season Ticket Holder of the Portland Seadogs for many years. They also traveled to many of the major league baseball fields to root for their favorite team the Boston Red Sox.
Linda spent much of her married life raising their two children and doting on their four grandchildren. She loved caring for children and there were many family (and like family) members that were adored and spoiled by her. During the time that she and her husband lived in Freeport, she was a nanny to a local family. At different times in her life, she worked at Hay’s Drug Store, Marshalls Department Store, Lynn’s Hallmark Store, and Sears all in the Greater Portland Area.
During the time she and her husband lived in Auburn, they were members of the Auburn Jaycees. She enjoyed ceramics, arts and crafts, reading and spending time with her family.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, who passed away on February 26, 2010. In addition to her children and parents; she is survived by four grandchildren, Tabatha Moore, Caleb Moore, Caitlin Moore, and Caleigh Moore; brothers, Lyndon L. Brett of Portland, Laurence L. Brett Sr, and his wife Jamia of Oklahoma City, OK. , her sister Lorena L. Delcourt and her husband John of Westbrook, and her sister-in-law RoxAnn Russell of Limington. She is also survived by her son Wayne’s girlfriend, Melissa Moran and her two sons, Michael and Matthew. Linda was part of a large extended family and is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Jones & Rich Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland on Friday, June 15, from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at 12:00P.M. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012.On line condolences can be made to Linda’s family at www.jonesrichandhutchins.com.
