

Portland- Lindsay Marie Trainor, 26 the beloved daughter of Charles and Gladys Trainor, and sister of John and Carrie Trainor passed away unexpectedly at her home in Portland ME on Sunday, March 20 2016.
Lindsay was born in Portland on May 9, 1989. She attended local schools and graduated from Deering High School in 2007. She attended Southern Maine Community College where she consistently made the Dean’s List. She was awarded her associates degree in liberal studies by SMCC in December 2015. At the time of her passing she was a student at the University of Southern Maine, majoring in political science.
Prior to beginning school at SMCC Lindsay moved to Pensacola, Florida. She worked as a bartender there for two years. She enjoyed the Florida beaches and trips to New Orleans. She became an Alabama Crimson Tide fan. After she returned to Maine and while attending school Lindsay bar tended at several local restaurants. Most recently and for the past year or so she was a bar tender at Anjon’s Restaurant in Scarborough, which she enjoyed very much. She also worked part time at her father’s law firm in Westbrook. Lindsay was considering attending law school after graduation from USM.
Lindsay had a magnetic personality. She had many friends and was deeply loyal to them. She had a quick wit and dry sense of humor and could light up a room with her smile. She was the life of her family parties and gatherings, especially the family Christmas Parties. She loved animals, especially her dog Riley.
She enjoyed babysitting her friends’ children. She had a larger than life personality. She thought that if you were going to do something that you had to do it in style. She enjoyed traveling and had a great time on a family trip she took with her parents, brother and sister to Phoenix and San Diego shortly after Christmas this past year.
Lindsay is survived by her parents, Charles and Gladys Trainor of Portland ME, her brother John and his fiancé Meredith Ingram and her sister Carrie Trainor, all of Portland. She is survived by her Uncle Thomas Trainor and his wife Judy of New Gloucester ME, Aunt Colleen Trainor of Gorham, ME, Aunt Joanne Trainor and her companion Peter Schneider of Raymond Me and Uncle John Trainor and his wife Lisa of Derry, NH. She is also survived by cousins, Will, Joe, Sam, Sean, Shannon, Kelly, Erin, Kayla, Kellie, Alexis, Emileigh and Elizabeth.
Lindsay is and will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 1-3 pm on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Jones Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Portland. A funeral will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 28, 2016 at Stevens Avenue Congregational Church, 790 Stevens Avenue, Portland. Interment will be private.
