She attended House in the Pines Boarding School in Norton, MA and graduated from Portland High School. She also graduated from Maine School of Practical Nursing and from Westbrook Junior College. Margaret worked as a nurse for 30 years before retiring in 2003.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a daughter, Andrea Beem Parker and a brother, Charles W. Berry, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth L. Richard-Coleman of Saco; four grandchildren, Andrew H.M. Coleman, Hannah E.B.Coleman, Emily E.M.Coleman and Elizabeth (Libby) Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Animal Welfare Society, 46 Holland Rd, Kennebunk, ME 04043.
A private graveside will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements are by Jones Rich & Barnes, Portland.
