Marie R. Ryan, 94, of Portland, ME died Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
Marie was born in Portland on July 7, 1919; the daughter of the late George and Minnie (DiFiore) DiPaolo. She attended local schools and for many years worked at Maine Medical Center until retiring to care for her parents. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed keeping up on current events. She loved cooking her favorite Italian dishes and sharing them with family, and at one time along with her late husband she owned race horses.
Marie is predeceased by her husband Clifford Ryan, and brothers Rosario and John DiPaolo.
Surviving are her brothers Anthony ”Tony” DiPaolo of New Jersey, George DiPaolo and his wife Louise of Buxton and Orlando “Al” DiPaolo of Salem, MA. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and friends.
At Marie’s request services will be held privately for her family.
Care for Marie has been entrusted to the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home of Portland.
